Welcome to life in the slow lane...
At Lotto's Log Cabin, our goal is to make your life more worthwhile as you slow down, use your hands to create something beautiful, or learn a new skill that makes you feel more at home in the outdoors.
Taught by rustic furniture builder, professional ski instructor, and environmental educator, Sandy Lotto, our classes are life-changing and self-affirming.

Lotto's Log Cabin is much more than a place. It's a state of mind, a retreat, a place to start building a more purposeful life. Isn't it time to start fulfilling your dreams?
Get outside.
Use your hands.
Live deliberately.

Sandy Lotto has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry, with an emphasis in Recreation and a minor in Business, from UW-Stevens Point. For 18 years she was a Naturalist/Teacher at Trees For Tomorrow in Eagle River, WI before branching out to start her own business, Lotto's Log Cabin.
Sandy especially loves sharing her passion for cross country skiing and making rustic furniture. As a PSIA-certified ski instructor, she has taught over 1000 people how to cross country ski. She's a veteran American Birkebeiner skier, having skied that marathon 20 times, nine times starting in the Elite Women's Wave. She has taught rustic furniture classes for Nicolet College and Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) in addition to Trees For Tomorrow.
She started making furniture with blown down pine trees and sticks from the bonfire pile... bed frames and twig chairs!
Sandy helped build her log home (starting with peeling all the logs), and is furnishing it with some of her own rustic furniture. Rustic furniture classes are held in a small log cabin on her peaceful lakeside property near Eagle River, WI. She also teaches classes and sells her furniture at other locations throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Students learn about basic tool use and safety before beginning their projects. Classes are geared towards people with little or no prior woodworking experience. You don't just build "something", you build yourself! And, it's just a lot of fun!
